Primary Key Technologies was founded in 2002 to provide cost-effective web, software and database
development services to organizations of all sizes. We've created pre-packaged solutions using current
technologies in multiple programming languages and on multiple database platforms for organizations
of all sizes. In addition to our client work, we've also created and marketed our own solutions with
just a few being summarized below.
While continuing to provide direct services to our clients,
our company created WebOhana.com in 2004 making it one of the Internet's first private online
community systems. The number of users of the system was
far more than we ever anticipated and separate products were created for churches,
families, and companies. Custom systems based on the engine were also created with a customer list
that included Filene's in Boston. The system continued to be one of the
top choices for those looking for a private online community system until we made the difficult
decision to shutter the service in 2008. It should be noted that the system remained profitable throughout its
life through the use of lean business practices.
In 2008, taking the lessons learned from our WebOhana adventure, our company greatly expanded our
propietary online volunteer management and scheduling system first created in 2004.
YourVolunteers is now a top provider for volunteer managers around the world and Google searches
will show that it appears near the top of all phrases relevant to volunteer management.
In 2011, we met with NPcatalyst
, a firm that provides a
number of services to nonprofit organizations around the country, and they presented a
phenomenal idea of a website that would allow charities to post their needs and then receive
donations for their items directly. We worked together on the project and in November of 2011,
we collaboratively launched Gifting Wishes. Within three months of launch, the service is already
representing more than $10 million worth of wishes from organizations around the country.
EBS Wound CareTM
A professor of physical therapy at Elon University in North Carolina approached us with an idea
that could potentially have a major impact on the field of wound care. Since the research in the
field is growing, he recognized that a solution was needed to allow clinicians to see if a wound
(e.g. a pressure ulcer) was healing properly based on the available peer-reviewed evidence. In
February of 2012, Primary Key Technologies and Evidence Based Software collaboratively
launched EBS Wound Care, a web-based graphing program allowing clinicians to plot the
healing rate of a wound against the accepted range available from the field of evidence-based
medicine. More information
We truly appreciate all of our clients who have helped to build this company from our modest roots.
